US-Kurdistan agreed to strengthen relations

Brussels, 5 May 2015 - Middle East Diplomatic (MED) - US and Kurdistan Region agreed to strengthen relations between the two nations. President Obama and Vice President Biden praised the bravery of the Kurdish forces fight against isis-terror.
New security and political challenges in the Middle East, Kurdish fight against ISIS terror, US assistance to Kurdish forces, mutual interest and independence of Kurdistan Region were among the main topics between Kurdish President Barzani and US President Obama.
After meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, the President of Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani said that their meeting was successful and in the benefits of both nations.
“I would like to communicate this message to the people of Kurdistan that our meeting at the White House was very successful” said Barzani.
According the White House, both leaders discussed a range of issues, including the campaign to degrade and ultimately destroy Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) and the status of ongoing political initiatives to address the needs of the Iraqi people and foster cooperation across all communities in the war-torn country. President Obama and Vice President Biden reaffirmed the United States’ strong and continued support to the Iraqi Kurdistan Region and the Kurdish people.
